It started with a coordinate: 54°28′N 6°14′W. Two years on, that address in Moira is the closest thing Northern Ireland has to a home for padel — six doubles courts and two singles, under one roof, and a community that's grown up around every one of them.
Padel54 opened its doors as the first and only dedicated padel club in Northern Ireland, built on a simple belief: that the fastest-growing sport in the world deserved a proper home here. What began as a bet on a sport most people in NI had never heard of has turned into the club's whole reason for being — a place where players of every level can turn up, pick up a racket, and belong.
We're proud to be a premier stop on the Irish Padel Tour. With six doubles courts and two singles, all indoor, we're able to host national ranking events and put Northern Ireland's players in front of a top-class stage without ever leaving Moira. It's the same facility that's open every day to a beginner picking up a racket for the very first time.
The club itself has evolved just as much as the courts. Alongside the padel, Padel54 now has a professional pro shop on site, run by NinePadel, and a high-end clubhouse space where players and non-players alike can eat, work or simply hang around before and after a match. Next up: a recovery suite, with saunas, ice baths and more, so the work doesn't have to stop the moment you step off the court.
More than a place to play
Padel54 isn't just about sport, it's about people. From the matches shared and the friendships formed, to the tournaments, clinics and socials we host throughout the year, the goal has always been the same: bring padel into the heart of everyday life here. Our coaching programmes, one-to-one and group, are built for exactly that — every level, every ambition, always with a coach who actually knows your name.
That extends to the next generation, too. Our Junior Academy is dedicated to finding and developing NI's next padel talent, with a structured pathway designed to take players from their first rally through to high-performance competition and, eventually, national representation.
We believe the best moments happen both on and off the court, which is why we've built a club culture around connection as much as competition — cheering each other on mid-match, coffee after a game, new faces at the socials. Everyone is welcome, and everyone belongs.
Over the past two years we've welcomed beginners picking up a racket for the first time, juniors developing their game, and seasoned players pushing their limits, all on the same courts. And this is only the beginning: as we look ahead, we're committed to growing the game, supporting new players, and creating opportunities for everyone to be part of it.
